Supporting Orthodox Youth Through Camp Scholarships
The Order of St. Ignatius is a faithful community of donors across the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America who are committed to supporting the spiritual growth of our youth.
Members of the Order are recognized by the Red Ribbon and Cross, which symbolizes their dedication and generous contributions to the ministries of the Archdiocese. Through the faithful support of these members, the Order of St. Ignatius provides financial assistance that helps Orthodox youth attend church camps throughout the Archdiocese.
Each year, the Order distributes more than $200,000 in scholarships to Antiochian Orthodox campers. These funds are administered through a structured formula that allocates financial assistance to parishes across the Archdiocese, ensuring that families in need have the opportunity for their children to participate in Orthodox camp programs.
Impact at Camp Three Holy Youths
The generosity of members of the Order of St. Ignatius directly impacts campers in our local communities.
In 2025, Camp Three Holy Youths received more than $2,500 in scholarship assistance through the Order of St. Ignatius. These funds were generously provided by donors across the Archdiocese — individuals who may never personally meet the campers they support, yet faithfully contribute so that youth from the Bay Area can attend camp and experience the spiritual growth, fellowship, and faith formation that Camp THY provides.
This generosity reflects the true spirit of the Antiochian Archdiocese: a community united in supporting the spiritual development of the next generation.
Requesting Financial Assistance
Families seeking financial assistance through the Order of St. Ignatius Camp Scholarship Program must follow the process established by the Archdiocese.
Requests for financial aid must be submitted no later than March 31st.
To begin the process:
- Families should first contact their local Parish Priest.
- The Parish Priest will complete and submit the scholarship request on behalf of the camper or family.
- The request will then be reviewed according to the established allocation formula within the Archdiocese.
This process ensures that financial assistance is distributed fairly while respecting the pastoral guidance of each parish community.
Additional Financial Assistance
In certain circumstances, additional assistance may be requested.
Parish Priests may request additional financial support through the Antiochian Archdiocese if needed, including situations where financial needs exceed the parish’s allocated scholarship funds or when requests occur after the March 31st deadline.
Before seeking additional assistance elsewhere, Parish Priests are asked to:
- Utilize all available scholarship resources distributed through the Order of St. Ignatius and the Antiochian Archdiocese.
- Contact the Order of St. Ignatius regarding available assistance.
Only after these steps have been completed should requests be directed to St. Nicholas Church for further financial assistance if available.Coming Soon.
